Care instructions
Always test an offcut or sample prior to working the leather with tools, adhesives or heat. To ensure the leather print on your product is as durable as possible, we’ve worked hard refining our printing process and craftsmanship. Repeated turning or working may affect the digital print, always test your processes on a sample first. As leather is a natural material you may notice small differences in surface and texture, as well as wrinkles, which is common to products made from natural leather. All leathers age naturally according to the usage, and this can cause the print to wrinkle or fade slightly over time. It is possible the base colour may show through the leather as it ages with wear. When not in use we recommend storing your product in a protective dust bag or box to keep your product looking its best. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, sunlight, water, and chemical cleaners to maintain a bright and long-lasting print. Avoid contact with light coloured fabrics or upholstery as the colour may transfer. Whilst a light rain shower is unlikely to harm, we recommend protecting from rain. Should your product get wet, allow to dry naturally away from direct heat. To clean surface wipe only with a damp lint free cotton cloth.

Choose from a silver or gold-coloured, nickel-plated chain strap which will match the chain clips and the zip teeth and puller beautifully. How your chain crossbody bag is made
Your custom crossbody bag is made by hand to order. Firstly, the leather or leatherette is printed using the most up-to-date, digital printing techniques by fully trained print technicians. Once your design is imprinted onto the leather, craftsmen will cut your piece to the correct size and shape, based on the pattern provided by our exclusive in-house bag designer.
Once this is ready, our artisan seamstresses will stitch your bag together using a thread specifically for stitching leather. This thread can be either charcoal, cream, red, or blue, so you can choose the colour which looks best with your custom design. As all of the processes are done by hand, you might find some wrinkling on the leather but you can stay assured as the quality of the custom crossbody bag will not be affected. You can avoid choosing solid blocks of dark colour as they are more apparent on it.
The Nappa leather is sourced via Italian tanneries for printing and finishing in our own in-house atelier studio. This work is by hand and to order. As a full-grain, bovine-calf leather, it is graded to the highest level for print and manufacturing quality.
Design tips
Not only can you design your own leather or vegan printed crossbody bags, but you can also choose the thread colour that is used. Consider the design that you intend to use and go with something that complements it well for a sleek, sophisticated look.
Alternatively, you can really stand out from the crowd by picking contrasting colours. Use your custom crossbody bag to turn heads wherever you go and have people asking you where you got that amazing bag from.

Print Guideline
-
What's the best resolution to print in?
We print at 200dpi, which is a good combination of quality and file weight. Ideally, your image should be scaled to 100% at 200dpi, this means that no resizing of your file occurs stopping any interpolation.
-
Should I save my file as a TIFF or JPEG?
For multi-coloured or very detailed files we recommend using a tiff format, but they must be flattened. For simple colours and low detail files, a jpeg is fine.
-
Which colour model should I choose? RGB or CMYK?
We advise providing images in the RGB colour space. Specifically using the sRGB image profile, to achieve best colour results. What does this mean? In your editing software choose RGB as the working space, and assign the image profile as sRGB (full name sRGB IEC61966-2.1)
-
What does GSM mean?
Grams per Square Meter (GSM) is an international standard for measuring the weight of paper or fabric. GSM uses the weight of a square meter (1000 x 1000mm) as an indication of the weight and thickness of a given fabric. We class 20-100gsm as light (summer fabrics, gauzes and fine silks), 101-249 gsm as medium (most clothing fabrics) and 250+ gsm as heavy (upholstery fabrics, and other specialist fabrics).
-
What are bleed areas?
When designing your product, it’s best to make sure that your image is slightly larger than needed. In printing, the extra printed image is referred to as a “Bleed Area” or margin, and it is removed from the finished piece. A bleed area acts as a buffer for slight inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. however, it’s important to fill your bleed areas completely, or you may end up with white, unprinted strips along the edge of your finished product.
-
Do you print on garments a customer supplies?
Unfortunately not. All our garments are printed on flat fabric and sewn into finished products, which gives a better-finished result and all-over print. We test meticulously so that we know what gets the best results on our fabrics, and our facilities cater perfectly to them. We do however print sublimation paper to order, so if you have access to a heat press you can press your fabrics or flat garments easily.
-
Can you Align a Pattern or design across panels of a garment?
We always strive for the greatest accuracy when printing and constructing your garments. However, due to unavoidable stretch or movement of the fabric during the stitching process, we cannot guarantee perfect pattern registration across garment seams. We are generally accurate within 2-3mm, which is close enough for most patterns but may show slight issues with detailed geometric patterns.
-
Can I print my own Labels?
Most of our garments now come with printable label space for you to add your own company information and branding! If you would like to sew in your own labels, we also offer Printed Fabric Labels here.
-
How is your fabric printing eco-friendly?
With environmental consciousness in mind, our fabrics are all printed using completely water-based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used. Our heat fixing procedure fixes the colours and prints, avoiding the downsides of steaming, such as excess or contaminated water returning into the waste system. We have one facility where we conduct all the printing, production and fulfilment.
What leather is this bag made from?
The custom crossbody bag is made using 100% real Nappa leather in a textured finish. Nappa is incredibly soft and durable leather.
What if I don't want a leather bag?
When you design your own printed crossbody bags, you can choose a faux leather option. With all the hardiness of leather, as well as the great texture but with none of the actual leather, our vegan-friendly leatherette is a warm, soft material.
Is the bag lined?
Your printed crossbody bags are lined with our luxury Suede Vision fabric. This is a beautiful beige colour and is fire rated. The Suede Vision is super-soft and complements your printed leather or leatherette wonderfully.
