Custom Keychains

These custom keychains can be fully customized to make them truly unique to you. Made out of double butt leather, you can design your own keychain by printing on keychains and using your own designs and text as well as selecting from five different edge colours and 2 metals (gold or silver). The inner loop of your custom printed keychains will remain plain to allow the design to really stand out.

How to design your own keychain and how it's made

Printing on keychains is easy - all you have to do is choose your image or text, design your own keychain using our online interface and then leave the rest up to our artisans that will print and cut your custom keychain to order in our in-house facilities.

Your design is printed directly onto a single strip of double butt leather. The printed leather is then cut and multiple coats of edge paint are carefully applied by hand. Finally, the metalwork is attached by our expert leather artisans. The smooth, full-grain leather allows designs to be printed with rich, vibrant colours and clarity.

Design Tips

The possibilities are endless. When you design your own keychain, you will be able to choose from charcoal, cream, red, blue or brown edges. You might choose to add a contrasting colour to your design or you might choose a more subtle colour that blends in nicely. You can also choose from gold or silver metalwork for the metal accents. 

The process of printing on keychains includes using a thin strip of leather that loops around, which is why we recommend ensuring any important detailing (like logos or text) is positioned away from the edges and near to the metalwork to avoid the bend of the strap.

What is double butt leather?

Double butt leather is thick, high-quality leather and is typically used for belts. We use this type of leather for printing on keychains as its full-grain works well when printing, which means the print's colours will remain bright and clear.

How do I design my keychains?

Using the design interface, you will be able to see how your printed keychain will look all through the design phase. You will be able to choose between 5 edge colours and see how each of these complements your design. Then, you will choose between gold and silver metalwork. If you are uploading your own design, you will be able to view this in 'product view' and adjust it until you're satisfied.

Can I add text to my custom keychains?

Yes. Using the 'image & text tools' tab, you will be able to add text and see where this will sit within your customised keychain. You can then drag the text, reduce or enlarge its size, and change the font and colour. Make sure you keep your text within the safe/bleed area.
