How Your Tins are Printed & Made

Expertly handmade to order, this is a fine piece of metal craftsmanship, made using the best quality tin. The slip lid is removable (un-hinged) and features curved edges that give the flawless 3D print wrap effect. Despite it being un-hinged, the lid is secure. To ensure it's a truly bespoke and elegant storage tin, we leave the metal in its natural state, showing the 'etched' grains and texture, visible through the permanent, high definition print. We use a specialist process that fuses the ink deep into the surface, ensuring your designs won't fade, peel away or scratch off. In other words, the print literally becomes a part of the metal. 

Design Tips

The thing that sets these tins apart from the rest is that we don't just print on the flat surface, we wrap your designs around the curved lid edges resulting in a 3D effect that takes your design to another level. Within the design interface, the flat surface and edge areas are marked out with a green dashed line. Any design elements placed within the green box will appear on the flat surface, and anything outside will be printed on the edges. 

Please note that no white is printed onto the surface, so your tin will have a natural, silver metallic finish showing the 'etched' like grains.

Do you print white under my designs?

We do not print any white onto the lid, leaving it natural so that the authentic 'etched' metal grains show through for extra charm and intrigue.

What is a slip lid?

A slip lid is basically an un-hinged lid, allowing you to completely remove it from the base, however it's still super secure to keep contents safe.
