How Your Decorative Waste Paper Bins Are Printed & Made

Your paper waste bin is handmade by teams of skilled craftsmen and print technicians, in the Contrado studios. Your designs are printed onto a custom semi-translucent fabric, which is then backed with a fire rated lining. This print process of dye sublimation fuses ink deep into the fibres of the fabric, creating a rich and long-lasting finish. The fabric is then bonded with the wire frame, to create the body of the decorative waste paper bins. The final step is adding the plastic base.

Design Tips

We print your artwork edge to edge on the semi-translucent fabric, all around the circumference of the bin. This gives your print a stylish 360° view. When it comes to designing your bin, if you use one image, be aware that it will be stretched around the whole bin. This could give designs featuring photographs, a slightly distorted look. We suggest using designs with a repeat patterns, or, why not use the tile tool?

We use 3 different materials to create every bin by hand; wire to create the frame of the bin, fabric to create the sides and plastic to make the base insert.

What rubbish is suitable to put in the bin?

Your decorative waste paper bins are lightweight and stylish. They are made from fabric, and although they are sturdy, in order to keep them in optimum condition, we do not recommend placing any rubbish apart from light waste paper and similar items in them.

How many printed sides are on the bin?

These bins have one printed side. This side wraps around the whole bin, creating a 360° view of your design. Your bin will look striking and bold with artwork printed around the whole piece.
